Meet Your Flyhomes Agent: Andy Randles, Seattle

Seattle real estate agent Andy Randles

What’s the first thing a new client should know about you?

I love what I do and I love real estate. This is a passion job for me and I feel truly fortunate to have the opportunity to help buyers in such an important step in their lives. I’m straight-forward with clients and will help educate them on the market, individual homes, and whether the home is a good decision (based on everything they’ve told me).

What are your top 3 pro tips?

  • Set a list of must-haves and nice-to-haves. From there, take a look at sold homes in the neighborhood you’re shopping in to see if what you’re searching for is realistic. (I say this so you don’t get burnt out in the process. Setting realistic expectations is crucial in real estate)
  • Explore other neighborhoods. The Seattle Metro area has so many great places to live that targeting only one area really closes off a lot of great opportunities.
  • Focus less on the possible appreciation of the home and more on what it will be like to live there. We have a strong market here in Seattle and most homes will do well over a 5-10 year period, so make sure it’s a place you’ll be happy to be in (home, neighborhood, lifestyle, etc.).

When did you first get your real estate license? What inspired you to get it?

  • July 2019. I had joined Flyhomes just a few weeks prior and was ecstatic to join this company and start my real estate journey. I had followed regional and national trends for some time (in both residential and commercial) and knew this was the industry for me

Do you focus on a special area (such as new builds or investment properties)?

Most of the homes I sell are single-family houses and townhomes, spread out over a good swath of the area (Seattle, Bellevue, Redmond, Kirkland, Lynnwood, Everett, etc.). I’ve sold new construction homes, and some much older.

What neighborhoods are you an expert in?

Most of Seattle, and much of the greater Eastside.

Where do you live? Why did you choose to live there?

I just purchased a condo in Pioneer Square. I love the density and charm of the neighborhood and ease of access to downtown, lots of shops and restaurants, I-5, I-90, and it’s a quick walk to the Flyhomes HQ (when we open back up!!).

Have you worked in fields other than real estate?

I was a recruiter for about 5 years before joining. I had split my time over accounting/finance and tech positions.

What are you passionate about aside from real estate?

I love to travel and can’t wait for everything to open back up. I go on trips with friends, my girlfriend, and family, and will literally go just about anywhere as soon as we’re able to.

What do you love about working at Flyhomes?

Flyhomes has allowed me to launch a career in real estate that I wouldn’t be afforded anywhere else. We always do our absolute best to treat the customer right (whether that’s a client, an internal customer, a vendor, etc.) and it’s something that’s much needed in commerce.
