Meet Your Flyhomes Agent: Josh Einhorn, Boston

Boston real estate agent Josh Einhorn

What’s the first thing a new client should know about you?

I’m an enthusiastic storyteller with high-level emotional intelligence driven by experiential learning in all facets of my day-to-day real estate initiatives. I may talk your ear off but more importantly am always interested in learning more about client experiences and how they’ve arrived at the intersection of inquiring about one of our most crucial needs: finding and securing housing.

What are your top 3 pro tips?

  • Trust the process. As your advisor, I’ll always break down the home buying/selling experience for you in bite-sized increments. This experience can be a piece of cake… I suggest you savor the journey and not try to endure it all at once!
  • Managing great expectations. How do you check off all the boxes for your dream home? It’s simple, you compromise in areas that are considerably less of a burden to you in the interim period of your imminent move-in, weighed in comparison against items that will require considerable maintenance further down the road. Check out our post on trimming your wishlist.
  • Don’t worry, be happy. Having regrets, second thoughts or cold feet? Some things that are out of your control are easy to stress about, but will ultimately not help you move the needle forward on your quest for housing. Over communicating and tracking all of your changing needs will be equally beneficial for you (your buying partner) and your real estate agent.

When did you first get your real estate license? What inspired you to get it?

2012. My father moved to the United States back in the 1970s and mastered many different trades along his journey. As early as my elementary school years, I spent time around his office making paper airplanes and drawing on pieces of scrap paper. Who knew I’d be working alongside him after my college graduation, learning the ways of property management, rentals, and sales in the Allston/Brighton/Brookline/Cambridge market.

Do you focus on a special area (such as new builds or investment properties)?

My experience advising both buyers and sellers on the crucial before-and-after decision making that comes hand-in-hand with home ownership. Having served on the Board of Trustees at a 260 unit complex, I also can assist clients with simplifying HOA documentation and financial reporting packages. My attention to detail with investment properties (condo/multifamily) and proven methods of tenant retention have been consistently reinforced by my background in property management.

What neighborhoods are you an expert in?

Born and raised in the Greater Boston area, I’ve embraced my surrounding environments at each stepping-stone towards home ownership of a condominium in Medford and more recently, a single family home on the North Shore. While my roots are in the MetroWest area, my earliest experience in residential real estate began in Boston proper, working in and around the surrounding areas of Allston/Brighton and Brookline. More recently, my range has expanded to Essex county; transactions in several areas include Essex, Middlessex, Norfolk, and Suffolk county.

Where do you live? Why did you choose to live there?

My wife and I recently purchased a single family home on the North Shore. We’ve always been within close proximity of Boston but wanted to live in a coastal town. Swampscott provides the best of both worlds where you can run to the beach and hop aboard a shorter train ride versus driving into the city.

Have you worked in fields other than real estate?

I’ve collaborated on several teams integrated across several service lines throughout the past decade at small, medium and large residential and commercial real estate firms. I’ve worn many hats, including, but not limited to property management, leasing, affordable housing, rentals, sales, corporate communications and marketing.

What are you passionate about aside from real estate?

Food and sports. When combined together, the best of both worlds have been achieved! AKA Super Bowl. Holidays where sports are on in the background. My love for local New England sports throughout the years has resulted in attending and participating in many viewings of both regular season and play off games with friends and family. I love cooking and sometimes will try to recreate recipes from restaurants I’ve been to.

What do you love about working at Flyhomes?

A more thoughtful and considerate approach to consumer relationships backed by a team-based approach. As a real estate agent, you have infinite opportunities to grow. Being at a startup has enabled me to continue learning as I go in addition to having access to resources from a global operation that doesn’t simply revert to the status quo. Challenges are inevitable. Progress is a sign of success. Working at Flyhomes, I’ve not only been able to present a problem but have worked through resolutions as well. Perspective and perseverance are everything in this day and age.
