Meet Your Flyhomes Agent: Kim Wilson

Flyhomes Seattle real estate agent Kim Wilson outdoors

What’s the first thing a new client should know about you?

I love my job and I am very passionate about educating clients on the homebuying process. My priority is always to help my clients find the right home!

What are your top 3 pro tips?

Tour as much as possible because the market moves fast! If you only tour 3 homes it will be hard to make a quick decision, however if you tour 30 homes you will know when the perfect one comes along and we can act quick.

The neighborhood is just as important as the home itself. You can remodel a home, but you can’t remodel a neighborhood.

There is no “right” time to buy. The right time is when you find a home you love!

When did you first get your real estate license? What inspired you to get it?

I have been licensed just over a year in the state of Washington. I was inspired by a good friend who worked for Flyhomes.

Do you focus on a special area (such as new builds or investment properties)?

Most of my experience is within King County and specifically with Single Family Homes and Townhomes. I have experience with new builds, investment properties, buy-side and list-side transactions.

What neighborhoods are you an expert in?

Seattle as a whole and most of the greater Eastside.

Where do you live? Why did you choose to live there?

This past year or so I have been in Capitol Hill, prior to that in Ballard. I love Capitol Hill because of the nightlife, access to public transportation and ability to walk to work!

Have you worked in fields other than real estate?

After receiving my B.A. in Mathematics I worked in the aviation industry in Southern California. I made my way up to Seattle for grad school and a career in education where I taught mathematics for two years before I ventured into real estate.

What are you passionate about aside from real estate?

I am a master chef. I love cooking, especially for friends and family. I love design and DIY projects such as refinishing furniture. I am also passionate about traveling and exploring new places. Just before starting at Flyhomes I backpacked solo through Europe, Africa and the Middle East. Looking forward to my next travel adventure!

What do you love about working at Flyhomes?

I love my team and all of my coworkers. I have never met so many people who love their job. As a start-up we work a lot, but we work together and are always focused on maintaining a positive experience for our clients. Flyhomes has also allowed me to expedite my real estate career and I feel so grateful to have gained so much experience in such a short period of time.
