Meet Your Client Advisor: Mehar, Seattle

Flyhomes real estate agent in Seattle Mehar

What’s the first thing a new client should know about you?

I take pride in what I do and I am here to make your home buying journey a successful one. I am among the Top 25 Buy-Side King County Real Estate agents and have helped 50+ buyers who see me as passionate, hardworking, and honest. I stay realistic and straightforward with my approach and I am on your side!

What are your top 3 pro tips?

1. Get underwritten and be ready to go. Touring without a commitment to lend is the biggest cause of people missing out on the opportunity. Being underwritten gives you confidence and allows you to put a stronger offer.

2. Success in real estate negotiations comes from acting on the information we get (and don’t get) and understanding the leverage in the situation. Avoid analysis paralysis and don’t keep waiting for the right time. When the right home comes along, give it your best and then a little more.

3. Have an open mind and effectively communicate with your Client Advisor what your goals and limitations are. Real estate conversations are quite complex but understanding that your Client Advisor has your best interest in mind will help relieve a lot of tension throughout the process. You can only get so far with what you know, which is why you and your Client Advisor should work as a team.

When did you first get your real estate license? What inspired you to get it?

I got my license in Oct 2019. After seeing the limitations of traditional lending, I started looking into start-ups that are challenging the default. When I discovered Flyhomes and spoke with the Market Manager, Sophia Lu, I realized this is THE PLACE to be. It felt like a jigsaw puzzle that fit. I was sold on the idea to help buyers win in this tough market and utilizing the most innovative offer strategies out there. My past experience with clients helped me build myself up as an advocate for home buyers.

Do you focus on a special area (such as new builds or investment properties)?

Most of my deals are single-family homes, townhomes, and condos for first time home buyers. I am experienced in multiple offer situations and have beaten as high as 15 offers to get my buyers their dream home.

What neighborhoods are you an expert in?

North Seattle (Greenlake, Fremont, Wallingford Ballard) and Eastside (Redmond, Bellevue Sammamish, Kirkland). Basically, I am drawn to the most competitive neighborhoods and understand what it takes to win there.

Where do you live? Why did you choose to live there?

I live in Fremont and I love everything about the neighborhood. It’s right there among my other favorite places: Greenlake, Ballard, and Wallingford. I can run to Greenlake or to Gas Works park in no time. I have lived on the Eastside for a few years too, so I know the best of both worlds.

Have you worked in fields other than real estate?

Yes! I have worked in Financial Services, Banking, and Fitness. The limitations of the traditional lending piqued my interest in start-ups like Flyhomes that level the playing field. I have worked with people for most of my career which taught me empathy, patience, and a deep understanding of how to serve them best.

What are you passionate about aside from real estate?

Books! I read 2-3 books a month, mostly non-fiction. Stand-up comedy! I performed at many open mics for over a year. Running outdoors, cooking, and traveling keep me entertained.

What do you love about working at Flyhomes?

I was fascinated with Flyhomes’ model the day I came across success reviews on Forbes. I felt strongly connected with the vision of challenging the default and disrupting the market where we help buyers make their biggest purchase decisions. The thing I love the most about Flyhomes is the people I work with since they are some of the most passionate people I have ever met and their enthusiasm, dedication, and integrity are quite contagious.
